I met Diego at the National Conference of Special Constituencies in Kansas City sometime around 2000. He was an inspiring person, bright and eloquent in the delivery of his messages, someone who loved what he did in Family Medicine and his community, but more than anything else, he loved his family. Diego's eyes would lit up when he talked about Marcia and their girls. We were all out at a restaurant when he heard one of the twins had broken her wrist.
