Carmen Martin 16th May 2011

I worked with Dr. Osuna very closely as we both were interested in helping Spanish speakers to become healthier, more active, and more engaged in managing their health. I think of him and his family every day even though life continues on, I feel somewhat lost without him to guide me professionally. I miss him as a mentor and colleague who fought for those without a voice, without resources. Patients and participants in research truly adored him and he was so happy when he got through to someone. I will always miss him. I feel so bad that he didn't know the impact of his work and how the progress we were making has stopped without him as a leader. Now we need to pick up his torch and carry his passions so that his light will continue to shine. May God illuminate his path now that he is not with us. Sincerely, Carmen Martin
